what do i do now?
yeah i'm like almost positive someone's asked this before, but honestly i looked back two pages, and i decided that's as far as i was going to search.
anyway, i've been playing guild wars for like 4 years at least, but every time i got kinda far, i'd just start getting interested in a new profession and end up never playing my old character again. also, i'd stop playing for like a year and start up again. basically, i'm still pretty noobish. this time, though, i've beaten nf and factions, and i'm about to work on prophecies. after that i'll buy eotn. but i was thinking, and i realized after i beat the campaigns i'll have no idea what the hell to do. off the top of my head, i could only think of: 1) elite missions (the deep, underworld, fow) 2) hard mode 3) pvp (i suck ass at pvp) 4) farming to get shit loads of gold i won't know what to do with that's really all i can think of, ha. oh yeah i forgot, i could start a new character but it'd seem like a bunch of effort on the current guy for nothing. so yeah, what else can i do? i want to be one of the pro, rich, major league gamers too. lol kthx and sorry for the probably already asked question. |

I would say that if you enjoy the game and anticipate playing GW2, I would work on getting things for your Hall of Monuments (titles etc, to transfer to GW2 and unlock a few items in it).
http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome I had the same problem which is why I am still 5 titles for GWAMM on my primary, yet working on another one on my second account. But, it makes the most sense with regards to how to spend time in game. |

Sounds like you play the game like I did and still do.
Get bored of one character and move on in my case suddenly I had 14 characters my storage was choked up with tons of weapons mods consumables alcohol etc. All my characters had loads of quest lines part done and I had forgotten where I was up to with them all. I got interested in the xaishen quests mainly to get even more storage with weapon packs also did the Nicholas the traveller quests to try to get a moss spider pet "no luck so far" Thankfully the War in Kryta came along and while I was doing those missions they started the wedding quests line and announced the HOM rewards and titles. That made me focus on what I want so I am working through my characters one by one. Going through war in Kryta and also gaining as many points as possible to fill the HOM. Bought a load of elite armours, never saw the point before now they have a purpose. Decided most of the titles are for me too much of a bore so will not be getting many of those have 5 already and 29 points in the HOM vabbian armour next for my 30 pts and then will probably just coast through the game playing a little here and there till GW2 arrives. Point is do what you enjoy and if you decide you want to fill up your Hall of Monuments when you get EYE go for it. You could check out the requirements on the GW2 page and start working on them now. |

Other than the things you listed, there is also going for titles, playing through with different professions or, though it seems people have a VERY hard time with this one, recognize that you got far more out of your money for each part of GW than you did with most single-player games you've bought and just put it away, without regret, to move on to something else.

#2 go get some of it #3 sell it The forums here at Guildwarsguru have a few sections that can help you in this quest. There's the Buy/Trade/Sell forums, which include a "high end" forum. There's farming forums which will help you learn how to farm items. Good luck out there. |
